What we do with what you tell us.
Short version: we collect only what a form needs, we use it only to reply to you, we don't sell or share it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Information you give us
Four forms on this site collect information, and each one collects only what it needs to be answered:
- Contact form — your name, email, chosen topic and message.
- Volunteer signup — your name, email, city or country, the role you're offering, your availability, and anything you write about yourself.
- Order request — your name, email, the product and quantity, and any delivery notes.
- Donation pledge — your name, email, the amount, and which cause you chose.
That information is emailed to the Lega Vision team so a person can reply to you. We use it to answer you and to carry out what you asked for. We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone outside the organisation, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you filled in a form.
Payments
A donation pledge on this site is not a payment. No card, bank, or mobile-money details are collected here, and none pass through this website. When online payments are connected, they will be handled by a specialist payment provider and this page will be updated to name it before that goes live.
What the website itself records
We use privacy-friendly analytics that count page views without cookies and without building a profile of you. It records the page visited, a rough country, and the kind of device — never your name, your IP address in a form we can read, or anything that identifies you personally. There is no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no cross-site tracking on this site.
Your accessibility choices — text size and high contrast — are saved in your own browser's local storage so the site remembers them on your next visit. That never leaves your device and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Photographs and stories
We publish a student's photograph or story only with the consent of the student and their parent or guardian, and we change names and identifying details wherever that protects a child. Consent can be withdrawn at any time — write to us and we will take the material down, without asking you to justify it.
How long we keep things
Correspondence is kept as long as it is useful for the thing you contacted us about — an order, a volunteer placement, a donation — and then deleted. If you ask us to delete something sooner, we will.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. There is no form for this and no waiting period we hide behind — just email us and we will act on it.
Services we rely on
This site is hosted on Vercel, which necessarily processes requests to serve pages. Form submissions are delivered by email through an email provider. Content is stored in a code repository on GitHub. Each of these sees only what it needs to do its job.
Changes and questions
If this page changes in a way that matters, we will say so here rather than quietly editing it. Anything on this page that is unclear is our fault, not yours — ask us and we will explain it in plain words.
